Graffiti Alley

Another distinctive trait of Toronto is the public art that beautifies our streets. A dedicated space where artists can express their thoughts and let their imagination run wild. I recently took a stroll down Graffiti Alley, located in the Fashion District, and was amazed by the vibrant colours and images that decorate the buildings. Continue reading “Graffiti Alley”

The Only Armenian Pizza in Toronto

Growing up in Montreal, I was exposed to all kinds of delicious meals from various cultures. I was lucky to live in a neighbourhood with diverse restaurants such as greek, Vietnamese and Lebanese cuisine. One of my favourite childhood memories was going to this little take-out restaurant with my mom after school and ordering a Lahmajoun. To this day, every time I go to Montreal I always stop by my old neighbourhood and buy 2 dozen Lahmajoun to keep in my freezer. So you can imagine how happy I was to discover that there is an Armenian Pizzeria in Toronto! No need to make the expensive trip to Montreal. I can just drive to Scarborough anytime I want.  Continue reading “The Only Armenian Pizza in Toronto”

Visit Beautiful Unionville

One of the great things about living in York region is that I am minutes away from historic Unionville. Developed in the early 1840s, Main Street Unionville is known for its charming small town look. Thousands of tourists visit downtown Unionville to discover restaurants, cute shops and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The best place to be in the summer. You can attend the Main Street Summer Music event, or buy locally grown produce at the Stiver Mill Farmer’s Market, or enjoy free concerts at the Millennium Bandstand every Sunday.  Continue reading “Visit Beautiful Unionville”

A Night at the ROM

If you haven’t been to the museum since your elementary school trip, this is a great opportunity to experience the ROM as an adult! Every Friday night in the spring, the Royal Ontario Museum hosts Friday Night Live events. Theme nights full of food, music, drinks, and of course culture. The perfect setting for a date night, you can take in the amazing exhibits the ROM has to offer with great company. 🙂 I attended Beatz night a couple of weeks ago and I must say I haven’t had that much fun dancing in a while! An incredible DJ spinning old school hip-hop and R&B beats, and a great performance from Canadian singer, Divine Brown. Continue reading “A Night at the ROM”

Authentic Mexican Food

Hola amigos!

If you are looking for authentic (or as close as you can get outside of Mexico) and reasonably priced Mexican food in Toronto, you must go to Mexico Lindo in Scarborough.

This small family owned restaurant is hidden at the back of a plaza on Birchmount north of Sheppard. From the moment you walk in you will be greeted by the owner with a “Hola Amigo”. The service is exceptional and the staff is very friendly and attentive! While you wait you are provided with complimentary chips and salsa. Another reason to be happy with this place!
